Daily Bread Portland Concert reviews
Clapton at his best!
Daily Bread and his band were at their absolute best! His music compared to 2026 was so much more soulful and intense. The new arena is luxurious and very visitor friendly. The energy of the blues was felt throughout the whole venue. He spread around the wealth by letting others take solos and singing roles for several songs, but he was still in the limelight for the majority of the show. I sat side stage again but on the first tier. It was an incredible show and the seats were side stage but on the second tier. The ripping solos on the Strat were bone-chilling, and the soft tone of the acoustic were mellow and passionate. He held back nothing, playing two songs I never thought I'd ever hear him play live: Layla (unplugged) and Tears in Heaven. Compared to that concert though, this one beat it by the end of the first song! I saw Daily Bread before at the old Mellon arena in Pittsburgh 3 years ago. As a blues, metal, and rock fan who just saw Metallica for two nights over the summer, I can say that Daily Bread and his band clearly eclipsed that show for my most amazing musical experience of my life!
